about 49 Hakumon-kai 49年白門会

We organized an association called 49 Hakumon-Kai 15 years ago.
It is the association for Chuo University graduates in 1974 (Shouwa 49 on Japanese calendar).
This association is a branch of Chuo University Alumni Association.
A kind of nick name for our university is called Hakumon in Japan.
Hakumon literally means white gate and Kai means association in Japanese.
Many our graduates have passed National Bar Examination every year and the name of Hakumon-Kai has been famous for legal community in Japan.
1974, our graduation year, is Shouwa 49 on Japanese calendar.
Our 49 Hakumon-Kai was named after these reasons.

The members of this association are the graduates from all departments of Chuo University.
The main theme of this association is to meet and make good relationship with many same year graduates.
We have been separated for many years since the graduation.
Most of us are approaching retiring age now, so we are preparing to have a good friendship with our members much more for our future.

The year 2015 is the 15th anniversary for our association, so we are planing to hold a party on July 4, 2015 now.
Seiji Kasai, ex executive announcer of NHK, is one of our members in charge of master of the ceremony.
Yamato Katsura, Japanese comic storyteller and graduate of our university in 1999, is a guest speaker.

Many of the 1974 graduates will be expected to participate and join our association.
Our association plans several get-togethers and strolls around Tokyo or nearby places every year.
We encourage you to browse our website to learn more about the schedules and programs offered by our association.
The role of 49 Hakumon-Kai will be expected among our members from this time.
